Refuting the wrong concept of those who say Non Muslims can enter Jannah

One of the dangerous Fitnah of Current age is to believe in wrong concept that non Muslims can enter Jannah.Some of the promoters of this wrong ideology are Mr Javed Ahmad Ghamdi and Dr Tahirul Qadree. Indeed the ultimate goal of every human being and target of all the followers of religions is Paradise but when we minutely read Quran and Sunnah of Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam we can conclude that after the advent of Islam and Prophet of Islam non Muslims cannot enter Jannah.I want to address this issue in light of Quran and Sunnah and InshaAllah will try to guide readers on this issue.First of all I will quote two verses which indicate that Islam is the only way accepted by Allah swt:
Truly, the religion with Allâh is Islâm. Those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) did not differ except, out of mutual jealousy, after knowledge had come to them. And whoever disbelieves in the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh, then surely, Allâh is Swift in calling to account. (Aali Imran 3:19)
And whoever seeks a religion other than Islâm, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers. (Aali Imran 3:85)
The people who think that people of other religion like people of scriptures can enter Jannah quote the verse :
Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans [before Prophet Muhammad] - those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness - will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve. (Surah Al-Baqarah Verse 62)
O you who believe! If you obey a group of those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians), they would (indeed) render you disbelievers after you have believed! (Aali Imran 3:100)
The people who used to follow the old scriptures now have to fulfill some conditions for entering Paradise and those conditions have been revealed in the following verse of Quran:
But those among them who are well-grounded in knowledge, and the believers, believe in what has been sent down to you (Muhammad SAW) and what was sent down before you, and those who perform As¬Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and give Zakât and believe in Allâh and in the Last Day, it is they to whom We shall give a great reward. (An-Nisa 4:162)
The conditions which are to be followed by people of scripture to get success are
1 Belief in Quran and Sunnah
2 Belief in old books
3 Establishing obligatory prayers
4 Paying obligatory charity
5 Belief in Allah
6 Belief in Day of Judgement
And every one who has some wisdom can easily know that when some one will fulfill these conditions he will be accepting Islam,otherwise they cannot get reward from Allahswt.
I have quoted some important verses related to the fact that only religion chosen by Allah swt is Islam. There are many other fundamental points which reinforce this fact.
1. Tauheed
It is very obvious fact that no one can enter Jannah without having firm belief in one ness of Allah swt .Allah swt can forgive all sins except polytheism and this fact has been revealed in Holy Quran in the following verse of HolyQuran
Verily, Allâh forgives not that partners should be set up with him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He pleases, and whoever sets up partners with Allâh in worship, he has indeed invented a tremendous sin. (An-Nisa 4:48)
And every one knows that the belief of Jews and Christians is not appropriate in this regard and this is evident from the following verses of Holy Quran
And the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allâh, and the Christians say: Messiah is the son of Allâh. That is a saying from their mouths. They imitate the saying of the disbelievers of old. Allâh's Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth! They (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allâh (by obeying them in things which they made lawful or unlawful according to their own desires without being ordered by Allâh), and (they also took as their Lord) Messiah, son of Maryam (Mary), while they (Jews and Christians) were commanded [in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)) to worship none but One Ilâh (God - Allâh) Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)[]. Praise and glory be to Him, (far above is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him)." (At-Tawbah 9:30-31)
So it is very much evident from the above mentioned verses of Holy Quran that Jews and Christians are not on Tauheed .If they are not on tauheed than how can they enter Paradise?
2. Belief in Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam and His obedience.
When we thoroughly recite and study Quran .We can easily conclude that after the advent of Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam no body can be declared momin/believer if he does not believe in him and follow his life style.This is evident from the following verse of Quran .
But no, by your Lord, they can have no Faith, until they make you (O Muhammad SAW) judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission. (An-Nisa 4:65)
Similarly it is also mentioned in surah Hujrat that all the good deeds are destroyed when some one prefers his sayings on sayings of Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam or raise his voice above the voice of Holy prophet salal laho aliehi wasalam. Allah says
O you who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet (SAW), nor speak aloud to him in talk as you speak aloud to one another, lest your deeds may be rendered fruitless while you perceive not.
(Al-Hujurat 49:2)
In surah Muhammad Allah swt has made it clear that who soever will not obey Allah and His Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam His actions will not be accepted by Allah swt. Allah says:
O you who believe! Obey Allâh, and obey the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) and render not vain your deeds. (Muhammad 47:33)
In surah Noor Allah swt has declared that all those people who go against the command of Holy prophet salal laho aliehi wasalam they will face crisis in this life and face torment of Hereafter. Allah says:
Make not the calling of the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) among you as your calling of one another. Allâh knows those of you who slip away under shelter (of some excuse without taking the permission to leave, from the Messenger SAW). And let those who oppose the Messenger's (Muhammad SAW) commandment (i.e. his Sunnah legal ways, orders, acts of worship, statements, etc.) (among the sects) beware, lest some Fitnah (disbelief, trials, afflictions, earthquakes, killing, overpowered by a tyrant, etc.) befall them or a painful torment be inflicted on them. (An-Nur 24:63)
On another instance Allah swt has declared in holy Quran that who soever is disobedient to Allah swt and His messenger will face hellfire.Allah swt says:
And whosoever disobeys Allâh and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), and transgresses His limits, He will cast him into the Fire, to abide therein; and he shall have a disgraceful torment. (An-Nisa 4:14)
It has also been mentioned in Holy Quran that whosoever leaves the sayings of Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam due to company of his friend will be facing failure on day of Judgement
And (remember) the Day when the Zâlim (wrong-doer, oppressor, polytheist, etc.) will bite at his hands, he will say: "Oh! Would that I had taken a path with the Messenger ( Muhammad SAW). "Ah! Woe to me! Would that I had never taken so-and-so as a friend! (Al-Furqan 25:27-28)
Similarly it has also been mentioned in Holy Quran that a group of people will enter Hell fire because they had followed their leaders and ignored sayings of Allah swt and His Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalaam Allah swt says:
On the Day when their faces will be turned over in the Fire, they will say: "Oh, would that we had obeyed Allâh and obeyed the Messenger (Muhammad SAW)." And they will say: "Our Lord! Verily, we obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they misled us from the (Right) Way. (Al-Ahzab 33:66-67)
On another Instance Allah swt has said those people who hurt Allah and His messenger will be entering Hell fire. Allah swt says:
Verily, those who annoy Allâh and His Messenger (SAW) Allâh has cursed them in this world, and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating torment. (Al-Ahzab 33:57)
Allah swt has also declared in Holy Quran that the person who believe in Allah swt and His Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam will be saved from hellfire.Allah says:
O You who believe! Shall I guide you to a commerce that will save you from a painful torment. That you believe in Allâh and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), and that you strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allâh with your wealth and your lives, that will be better for you, if you but know! (As-Saff 61:10-11)
From all the above mentioned verses of Holy Quran it is evident that any one who does not accept the prophet sala laho aliehi wasalam as role model his good deeds will not be accepted.So what will be the fate of Jews and Christians who donot even believe in prophethood of Muhammad salal laho aliehi waslam.It is understood that they will also be losers because of this deficiency.If some one says that belief in prophet is not necessary he actually undermines the importance of prophet and does not take his path as sirat e mustaqeem
3. Establishing Salah
For success of here after it is necessary that a person should offer obligatory salah .In surah Muddasir Allah has said that people in hell will be asked about the reason for their entrance into hell fire they will say that it was due to negligence in salah .Allah says:
They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salât (prayers). (Al-Muddaththir 74:43)
It is very much evident that Jews and Christians cannot establish salah without entering into fold of Islam
4. Giving Zakat.
It is also mentioned in Quran that those people who do not give zakat will have to face hell fire. It is mentioned in Surah Tobah that their foreheads backs and sides will be burnt due to this negligence .Allah says:
On the Day when that (Al-Kanz: money, gold and silver, etc., the Zakât of which has not been paid) will be heated in the Fire of Hell and with it will be branded their foreheads, their flanks, and their backs, (and it will be said unto them):-"This is the treasure which you hoarded for yourselves. Now taste of what you used to hoard." (At-Tawbah 9:35) And those who hoard up gold and silver [Al-Kanz: the money, the Zakât of which has not been paid], and spend it not in the Way of Allâh, -announce unto them a painful torment. (At-Tawbah 9:34)
Similarly in Surah Ham Meem Sajdah it has been declared that they will be counted in polytheists due to this negligence.Allah says
And woe to Al-Mushrikûn (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh, polytheists, idolaters, etc.) Those who give not the Zakât and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter. (Fussilat 41:6,7)
This is understood that obligatory charity cannot be given without following Muhammad salal laho aliehi wasalam.So once again it is an established fact that only Muslims can enter Paradise.
Some of the good deeds like serving humanity ,uttering truth and avoiding obscenity and adultery are not sufficient for success in here after.For success in hereafter at least four things are of crucial importance besides some other important tasks
1 Belief in One ness of ALLAH swt
2 Belief in prophet hood of Muhammad sala laho aliehi wasalam
3 Establishing obligatory Salah
4 Giving obligatory Zakat
If they are unable to perform these tasks there good deeds will be wasted
As for those who disbelieve, their deeds are like a mirage in a desert. The thirsty one thinks it to be water, until he comes up to it, he finds it to be nothing, but he finds Allâh with him, Who will pay him his due (Hell). And Allâh is Swift in taking account. (An-Nur 24:39)
So to be successful a person has to perform at least those four deeds which are necessary to enter paradise and all these good deeds can be done only if some one has embraced Islam otherwise he will be facing torment of hereafter.
May ALLAH help us in fulfilling all the fundamental requirements to enter paradise and save us from moving on the track that leads to hell fire. [ameen].
