Considerate Husband (Hadith No. 1327)

Bismillah.
Volume 2, Book 26, Number 627:
Narrated Aisha (radiallaahu `anhaa):
(the wife of the Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam) We set out with the Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam) in his last Hajj and we assumed Ihram for Umra. The Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam) then said, "Whoever has the Hadi with him should assume Ihram for Hajj along with 'Umra and should not finish the Ihram till he finishes both." I was menstruating when I reached Mecca, and so I neither did Tawaf round the Ka'ba nor Tawaf between Safa and Marwa. I complained about that to the Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam) on which he replied, "Undo and comb your head hair, and assume Ihram for Hajj (only) and leave the Umra." So, I did so. When we had performed the Hajj, the Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam) sent me with my brother 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakr (radiallaahu `anhu) to Tan'im. So I performed the 'Umra. The Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam) said to me, "This 'Umra is instead of your missed one." Those who had assumed Ihram for 'Umra (Hajj-atTamattu) performed Tawaf round the Ka'ba and between Safa and Marwa and then finished their Ihram. After returning from Mina, they performed another Tawaf (between Safa and Marwa). Those who had assumed Ihram for Hajj and 'Umra together (Hajj-al-Qiran) performed only one Tawaf (between Safa and Marwa).
Know more about the types of Hajj so it's easier to understand the itsy bitsy details.
Every time I come across this incident, I just marvel at the caring husband that the Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam) was. He could have easily told `Aa'isha (radiallaahu `anhaa) to just let it be and make sure to not come for Hajj during her menstruation. He could have been irritated with her. But he wasn't. He didn't say any reproachful words to her ("You and your problems! -_-", for example..). Rather he sent her with her brother especially so she could complete her manaasik. And he reassured her that her missed `Umrah had been covered for. Considerate he was. :)

Crush , Infatuation, Affair... The World of Broken Hearts by Nisaar Y. Nadiadwala

I received a message from a school girl.  She claims she has a  CRUSH on her male teacher. The poor fellow thinks that she is in love and confesses that she does everything to please her male teacher. She dresses up neatly, she completes her journal. She always appreciates her teacher ... But later she came to know that her crush is already engaged with many girls. So  now she has a broken heart, frustrated, depressed , unable to focus on studies and always a sad and a gloomy mood accompanies her. This young girl is not the only girl to have crush on her senior.  She may not be from a highly liberated environment. It can be that she may come from a modest practicing Muslim family.

Most of the times, a crush is a one sided attraction followed by day dreaming and fantasy love story. giving a tickling tickling feeling when one hides her /his face in the pillow and takes a tour of the world of  rosy thoughts that may never turn to be true. ' Crush' means a 'temporary liking'. So when you're referring to crush on someone, mind well that it exactly  does in the end- it crushes you. If you have a crush, your heart will not tolerate your crush to even smile or talk to  any of your gender and in the end you will find  your heart, dreams, fantasies crushed by the truthful reality.

The dictionary meaning of infatuation is : "A foolish, unreasoning, or extravagant passion or attraction"

The dictionary meaning of crush is : "An intense but usually short-lived infatuation"

Teens find romance and affairs everywhere around them. In schools they hear romantic stories about  teachers and students going around. In novels  they read about an average looking girl falling in love with a  good looking princely man and end up marrying him living happily after.  In movies and serials they see young and aged, rich and poor, rough and soft , every type of people having girl friends and boyfriends so they develop a desire to taste it. Affairs are circulated everywhere from  TV serials to gossip columns, Campus to corporate offices, Head lines to cover stories, slums and  palaces..Everybody seems to be into it so nobody wants to raise an eyebrow on that.

But rarely people find stories of broken hearts. In TV serials they show it,  but they compensate the girl with another better looking  boy. There is not a single movie or TV serial or Chat show where a central character is made to realize that it was foolish to fall into it . Falling in and out of affair is very common now a days. There are no tablets and syrups to treat broken hearts. Nor can they be treated with surgery. In a failed affair it is the girl who undergoes a huge pain in heart.

In real life ,  in many cases the boys end up saying :
  • I am sorry , I will marry a girl my Mom chooses for me
  • I saw you talking to other boys so your character is not trustworthy
  • We were just friends but you went too deep
  • I cant  marry you till I get settled.
The dictionary meaning of love is : "A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness" . The definition is correct, but it cannot be found  before wedding if it is a genuine. People can fake love through gifts, valentine cards, humour, rose day and birthday cards...and the poor girl may get carried away.Girls must realize that love cant be searched on your own. Allah says He has put love and affection in your spouse's heart.. and spouses are not those whom you pick up on facebook and  class rooms and neighbourhood but they are the one who are approved by your guardian.

The world of broken hearts is more painful than the world of broken bones because there is no plastering on hearts. No X-ray can  can show the rift in the heart.. No cardiogram can  give an ECG report of the spiritual pain of a broken heart. NO actor can fake a painful role..because a broken heart has no tongue that will scream nor can blood gush out after an affair has been broken. It is felt within..So be careful before you leap into some one's heart..NO wonder why the Qur'an says : Do not go close to Zina ( Introduction to namahram, receiving compliments from co workers, neghbours and classmates, checking of profiles of Namahram....)

Cure of Diseases in light of Quran and Hadith

Quran and Hadith are two documents of Salvation. These two documents have pleasing message for psychological ,spiritual and physical patients .If some one wants to be cured he needs to do following acts .Each of these is a cure for patients:

1.Recitation of Quran in general which is cure of all diseases
2.Recitation of Surah Fatihah whisch is cure of all diseases
3.Recitation of Lahowla wala qowwata illa billah which is treasure of paradise
4.Eating of Honey which is cure of all diseases(Quran)
5.Drinking of Zam zam water which is cure of all diseases
6.Eating of black seeds (Kalonji) or using its oil
7.Using Olive Oil especially for outer message  because it is a blessed tree

Reference of these points:

1.Recitation of Quran in general which is cure of all diseases:

O mankind! Love The-Country Otherwise Leavere has come to you a good advice from your Lord (i.e. the Qur'an, ordering all that is good and forbidding all that is evil), and a healing for that (disease of ignorance, doubt, hypocrisy and differences, etc.) in your breasts, - a guidance and a mercy (explaining lawful and unlawful things, etc.) for the believers. (Yunus 10:57)
And We send down from the Qur'ân that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe (in Islâmic Monotheism and act on it), and it increases the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers) nothing but loss. (Al-Isra 17:82)
Say: "It is for those who believe, a guide and a healing. And as for those who disbelieve, there is heaviness (deafness) in their ears, and it (the Qur'ân) is blindness for them. They are those who are called from a place far away (so they neither listen nor understand). (Fussilat 41:44)

2.Recitation of Surah Al Fatihah:

Narated By Abu Said Al-Khudri : Some of the companions of the Prophet came across a tribe amongst the tribes of the Arabs, and that tribe did not entertain them. While they were in that state, the chief of that tribe was bitten by a snake (or stung by a scorpion). They said, (to the companions of the Prophet), "Have you got any medicine with you or anybody who can treat with Ruqya?" The Prophet`s companions said, "You refuse to entertain us, so we will not treat (your chief) unless you pay us for it." So they agreed to pay them a flock of sheep. One of them (the Prophet`s companions) started reciting Surat-al-Fatiha and gathering his saliva and spitting it (at the snake-bite). The patient got cured and his people presented the sheep to them, but they said, "We will not take it unless we ask the Prophet (whether it is lawful)." When they asked him, he smiled and said, "How do you know that Surat-al-Fatiha is a Ruqya? Take it (flock of sheep) and assign a share for me."   (Sahih Bukhari ,Volume 007, Book 071, Hadith Number 632.)
Prophet salal laho aliehi waalam said: 'In the Fatiha of the Qur'an, there is a cure for all maladies(illnesses)'
(Darimi ,3236, also narrated by Ad-Darmi in his Al-Masnad and Al-Bayhaqi in Shu’bul Imaan, Tafseer Mazhari 1:30)
3.Recitation of Lahowla wala qowwata illa billah which is treasure of paradise:

Prophets salallaho aliehi wasalam said to Abu Moosa Al-Ash‘ari radi Allahu anhu "Should I guide you to a word which is one of the treasures of Paradise?” He replied in the affirmative. The Prophet salal laho aliehi waslaam said, “La hawla wala quwwata illa billaah." (Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim)

4.Eating of Honey which is cure of all diseases:

And your Lord inspired the bee, saying: "Take you habitations in the mountains and in the trees and in what they erect "Then, eat of all fruits, and follow the ways of your Lord made easy (for you)." There comes forth from their bellies, a drink of varying colour wherein is healing for men. Verily, in this is indeed a sign for people who think. (An-Nahl 16:68-69)

5.Drinking of Zam zam water which is cure of all diseases:

The Prophet salal laho aliehi wasalam said to Abu Dhar radi Allahu anhu who had stayed near the Kaabah and its coverings for forty days and nights with no food or drink other than Zamzam, “How long have you been here? “Abu Dhar radi Allahu anhu said: “I have been here for thirty days and nights.” The Prophet salal laho aliehi wasalam said, “Who has been feeding you? ”He said, “I have had nothing but Zamzam water, and I have become so fat that I have folds of fat on my stomach. I do not feel any of the tiredness or weakness of hunger and I have not become thin.” The Prophet salal laho aliehi wasalam said: “Verily, it is blessed, it is food that nourishes.”
(Sahih Muslim) ”
Jabir bin Abdullah radi Allahu anhu narrates that the Prophet salal laho aliehi wasalam said: “The water of Zamzam is for whatever it is drunk for.”
(Sunan Ibn Majah)

6.Eating of black seeds (Kalonji) or using its oil:

Narrated Khalid bin Sad radi Allahu anhu: We went out and Ghalib bin Abjar was accompanying us. He fell ill on the way and when we arrived at Medina he was still sick. Ibn Abi 'Atiq came to visit him and said to us, "Treat him with black cumin. Take five or seven seeds and crush them (mix the powder with oil) and drop the resulting mixture into both nostrils, for 'Aisha has narrated to me that she heard the Prophet  salal laho aliehi wasalam saying, 'This black cumin is healing for all diseases except As-Sam.' Aisha said, 'What is As-Sam?' He said, 'Death."  (Sahih Bukhari,Book 71,Hadith Number 591)

Narrated Abu Huraira Radi Allahu anhu: I heard Allah's Apostle salal laho alieh wasalam  saying, "There is healing in black cumin for all diseases except death."  (Sahih Bukhari ,Book 71, Hadith Number 592)

7.Using Olive Oil especially for outer message  because it is a blessed tree:

Narrated Abu Usayd al-Ansari radi Allahu anhu Allah's Messenger salal laho  aliehi wasalamsaid:Eat olive oil and anoint yourselves with it, for it comes from a blessed tree.( Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, and Darimi)

7 ways to improve your relationship with the Holy Quran

7 ways to improve your relationship with the Holy Quran

“O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur’an as a thing (abandoned)”.”
[Surah 25: 30]

ARE you one of those people who rarely touch the Qur’an? Or do you read daily, but don’t find it is having the impact on you that it should? Whatever the case may be, these are some simple tips that can help you connect with the Qur’an.

1. Before you touch it, check your heart. The key to really benefiting from the Qur’an is to check your heart first, before you even touch Allah’s Book. Ask yourself, honestly, why you are reading it. Is it to just get some information and to let it drift away from you later? Remember that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was described by his wife as a “walking Qur’an”: in other words, he didn’t just read and recite the Qur’an, he lived it.

2. Do your Wudu (ablution). Doing your Wudu is good physical and mental preparation to remind you that you’re not reading just another book. You are about to interact with God, so being clean should be a priority when communicating with Him.

3. Read at least 5 minutes everyday. Too often, we think we should read Qur’an for at least one whole hour. If you aren’t in the habit of reading regularly, this is too much. Start off with just five minutes daily. If you took care of step one, Insha Allah (God willing), you will notice that those five minutes will become 10, then half an hour, then an hour, and maybe even more!

4. Make sure you understand what you’ve read. Five minutes of reading the Qur’an in Arabic is good, but you need to understand what you’re reading. Make sure you have a good translation of the Qur’an in the language you understand best. Always try to read the translation of what you’ve read that day.

5. Remember, the Qur’an is more interactive than a CD. In an age of “interactive” CD-Roms and computer programs, a number of people think books are passive and boring. But the Qur’an is not like that. Remember that when you read the Qur’an, you are interacting with Allah. He is talking to you, so pay attention.

6. Don’t just read; listen too. There are now many audio cassettes and CDs of the Qur’an, a number of them with translations as well. This is great to put on your walkman or your car’s CD or stereo as you drive to and from work. Use this in addition to your daily Qur’an reading, not as a replacement for it.

7. Make Dua (supplication). Ask Allah to guide you when you read the Qur’an. Your aim is to sincerely, for the love of Allah, interact with Him by reading, understanding and applying His blessed words. Making Dua to Allah for help and guidance will be your best tool for doing this.

Hajj - Overview (Hadith No. 1317)

Bismillah.
Volume 2, Book 26, Number 617:
Narrated 'Abdullah bin Abbas (radiallaahu `anhu):
The Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam) with his companions started from Medina after combing and oiling his hair and putting on two sheets of lhram (upper body cover and waist cover). He did not forbid anyone to wear any kind of sheets except the ones colored with saffron because they may leave the scent on the skin. And so in the early morning, the Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam) mounted his Mount while in Dhul-Hulaifa and set out till they reached Baida', where he and his companions recited Talbiya, and then they did the ceremony of Taqlid (which means to put the colored garlands around the necks of the Budn (camels for sacrifice). And all that happened on the 25th of Dhul-Qa'da. And when he reached Mecca on the 4th of Dhul-Hijja he performed the Tawaf round the Ka'ba and performed the Tawaf between Safa and Marwa. And as he had a Badana (singular of budun)and had garlanded it, he did not finish his Ihram. He proceeded towards the highest places of Mecca near Al-Hujun and he was assuming the Ihram for Hajj and did not go near the Ka'ba after he performed Tawaf (round it) till he returned from 'Arafat. Then he ordered his companions to perform the Tawaf round the Ka'ba and then the Tawaf of Safa and Marwa, and to cut short the hair of their heads and to finish their Ihram. And that was only for those people who had not garlanded Budn. Those who had their wives with them were permitted to contact them (have sexual intercourse), and similarly perfume and (ordinary) clothes were permissible for them.
Here's a detailed description of Hajj.

And he should not wear clothes which are scented with saffron or Wars (kinds of Perfumes) . "

Hajj - Miqaat (Ahadith 1297 - 1310)

Bismillah.
Volume 2, Book 26, Number 597:
Narrated Zaid bin Jubair:
I went to visit 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (radiallaahu `anhu) at his house which contained many tents made of cotton cloth and these were encircled with Suradik (part of the tent). I asked him from where, should one assume Ihram for Umra. He said, "Allah's Apostle (sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam) had fixed as Miqat (singular of Mawaqit) Qarn for the people of Najd, Dhul-Hulaifa for the people of Medina, and Al-Juhfa for the people of Sham."

Narrated Ibn Abbas (radiallaahu `anhu):
The people of Yemen used to come for Hajj and used not to bring enough provisions with them and used to say that they depend on Allah. On their arrival in Medina they used to beg the people, and so Allah revealed, "And take a provision (with you) for the journey, but the best provision is the fear of Allah." (2.197).

Must do after reaching miqaat: put on Ihram (if you haven't already) and recite talbiyah.
One may put on Ihram before reaching miqaat, or on reaching miqaat. But if he crosses miqaat without putting on Ihram, he has to go back and renew intention.

Women, Jihaad and Hajj Mabrur (Ahadith 1294 - 1296)

Bismillah.
Volume 2, Book 26, Number 594:
Narrated Abu Huraira (radiallaahu `anhu):
The Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam) was asked, "Which is the best deed?" He said, "To believe in Allah and His Apostle (sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam)." He was then asked, "Which is the next (in goodness)?" He said, "To participate in Jihad in Allah's Cause." He was then asked, "Which is the next?" He said, "To perform Hajj-Mabrur."
Above Hadith has been posted before as well. Read it here.
After belief in Allah and Jihad in His Cause comes Hajj Mabrur. A Hajj Mabrur (an accepted Hajj) is a Hajj performed--overall--in a manner pleasing to Allah, and its signs are that a person returns with resolve and determination to fulfill their duty to Allah in a pleasing manner.
If a person completes his pilgrimage in the right manner and completes it only for the sake of Allah then the Hajj can compensate for his every sin. This is shown in the following Hadith related by Abu Hurairah (radiallaahu `anhu)  that the Apostle of Allah (sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam)  said:
"Whoever performs the Hajj and commits no lustful act during it nor disobeys God (in any other way) shall return from it as pure and sinless as he was at the time of his birth." Bukhari & Muslim
We can understand from the hadith that if anyone performs the Hajj and during it, abstains from all lustful things and every other act of defiance to God which falls within the spheres of lewdness, his sins will be forgiven and he will return from it as spotless as he was when he had been born. This type of Hajj is called Hajj Mabroor and if this is granted to him then he has obtained a great gift and favor in this world as well as the hereafter.
The reward for Hajj Mabroor is more clear in the following Hadith which is related by Abu Hurairah (radiallaahu `anhu), that Allah's Apostle (sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam) said:
"From one Umra to another (i.e. the two Umras) become an atonement for the sins committed during the period intervening between them and the reward on Hajj Mabroor (i.e. pure and untainted Haj) is paradise itself and nothing less." Bukhari & Muslim
Volume 2, Book 26, Number 595:
Narrated 'Aisha (radiallaahu `anhaa):
(the mother of the faithful believers) I said, "O Allah's Apostle (sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam)! We consider Jihad as the best deed." The Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam) said, "The best Jihad (for women) is Hajj Mabrur."
Women can start planning + preparing for Hajj Mabrur now. :)
Volume 2, Book 26, Number 596:
Narrated Abu Huraira (radiallaahu `anhu):
The Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam) said, "Whoever performs Hajj for Allah's pleasure and does not have sexual relations with his wife, and does not do evil or sins then he will return (after Hajj free from all sins) as if he were born anew."
And that is the reward for Hajj Mabrur. May Allah grant us all the tawfiq to perform such a Hajj.
