Allah swt is creator of human beings . He has many different names and attributes .On one hand He is Avenger and takes revenge from criminals and transgressors on the other hand He is the most Beneficent, the most Merciful, the most Gracious and the Most Loving One. No one loves human beings more than Allah swt provided that they are obedient to Allah swt,even the mother cannot love her children like Allah swt. A person is unlucky if he is unable to get love of His Creator and he is the luckiest being if he is able to get love of Allah swt. Allah swt has mentioned in holy Quran the ways by which we can get His love:
1/ By Doing Sincere Tobah:
When a person commits sin or disobeys Allah swt he invites anger of Allah swt and problems start coming in his life.Allah swt says in Holy Quran:
And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much. (See the Qur'ân Verse 35:45). (Ash-Shura 42:30)
When societies are disobedient to Allah swt what is the result ?The result has been mentioned in Holy Quran:
Evil (sins and disobedience of Allâh, etc.) has appeared on land and sea because of what the hands of men have earned (by oppression and evil deeds, etc.), that Allâh may make them taste a part of that which they have done, in order that they may return (by repenting to Allâh, and begging His Pardon). (Ar-Rum 30:41)
But when a person seeks forgiveness of Allah swt .Allah swt forgives all his sins.
Allah swt says:
Say: "O 'Ibâdî (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allâh, verily Allâh forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Az-Zumar 39:53)
Allah swt has mentioned three big sins in Surah Furqan and made it clear that any one who will commit these acts of transgression he will have to face hell fire
Allah swt say:
And those who invoke not any other ilâh (god) along with Allâh, nor kill such life as Allâh has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse and whoever does this shall receive the punishment. The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace; (Al-Furqan 25:68-69)
But it has been mentioned in Holy Quran that when a person does sincere tobah Allah swt will forgives all his sins and replace them with good deeds.
Allah swt says:
Except those who repent and believe (in Islâmic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, for those, Allâh will change their sins into good deeds, and Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Al-Furqan 25:70)
A sincere repentance also results in getting love of Allah swt thus if we repent sincerely and give up all those bad deeds which invite wrath of Allah swt we will be able to get love of our Creator.
Allah swt says in Holy Quran:
Truly, Allâh loves those who turn unto Him in repentance (Al-Baqarah 2:222)
By purifying ourselves:
We can also get love of Allah swt by keeping ourselves neat and clean .We can make ourselves neat and clean by taking bath frequently ,doing ablution five times a days and keeping our clothes free from stains and impurities.
Allah swt says in Holy Quran :
And He loves those who purify themselves(Al-Baqarah 2:222)
On another instance Allah swt says:
And Allâh loves those who make themselves clean and pure (At-Tawbah 9:108)
By Being Patient:
Ups and downs are parts of life.Some people loose heart when they face problems and crisis where as true believers know that every thing is in hands of Allah swt .When ever they face a problem they say:
"Nothing shall ever happen to us except what Allâh has ordained for us. He is our Maulâ (Lord, Helper and Protector)." (At-Tawbah 9:51)
They know that hard times and pleasant times are in hands of Allah swt .Allah swt has mentioned this reality in the Holy Quran in the following verse:
And so are the days (good and not so good), We give to men by turns, that Allâh may test those who believe (Aali Imran 3:140)
Actually felicity of hereafter is linked with the test of human beings and Allah swt will only give Jannah after testing the human beings.
Allah swt says in Holy Quran:
Do you think that you will enter Paradise before Allâh tests those of you who fought (in His Cause) and (also) tests those who are As-Sâbirin (the patient ones, etc.)? (Aali Imran 3:142)
When a person submits His will before Allah swt and always bear hard ship of life with patience Allah swt starts loving him .Allah swt says:
And Allâh loves As-Sâbirin (the patient ones, etc.). (Aali Imran 3:146)
So if we want to get love of Allah swt we should be patient on His decisions and should face hardship of lives with patience and peace.
By Relying on Allah swt:
A positive approach towards ups and downs of life besides patience is reliance on Allah.When a person relies on Allah swt the result is that Allah swt becomes sufficient for him.This reality has been narrated in Holy Quran in the following way.
Allah swt says:
And whosoever puts his trust in Allâh, then He will suffice him. Verily, Allâh will accomplish his purpose. Indeed Allâh has set a measure for all things. (At-Talaq 65:3)
Allah swt has commanded many times in Holy Quran that we should always put our trust in Him .When we will be consistent in this act we will be able to get love of Allah swt.Allah swt says:
Put your trust in Allâh, certainly, Allâh loves those who put their trust (in Him). (Aali Imran 3:159)
By Doing Justice:
Justice is a great deed but it is some times very difficult act because sometimes we have to do justice even with our close relatives and when this stage comes we have to go against our emotions and love .Similarly sometimes due to enmity we are biased towards a person or group but when it comes to justice we will have to overcome our hatred and biasing. It is command of Allah swt that we have to do justice in every situation .
Allah swt says:
O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allâh, even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allâh is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allâh is Ever Well-Acquainted with what you do. (An-Nisa 4:135)
On another instance Allah swt says:
O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allâh and be just witnesses and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety, and fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is Well¬Acquainted with what you do. (Al-Ma'idah 5:8)
When a person detaches himself from personal likes and dislikes He is able to achieve love of Allah swt .
Allah swt says:
Verily, Allâh loves those who deal with equity. (Al-Mumtahinah 60:8)
By doing Ihsan/ favour with others:
Justice is indeed a great attribute and any one who does justice succeeds in getting love of almighty Allah swt .But doing favour or ihsan with others is some thing beyond justice.Ihsan can be elaborated with an example.If we have taken 10000 from some one as loan justice is to pay him back his money and ihsan is to pay him back more than 10000 without his demand.It is some thing different from interest where extra money is demanded by lender .Another example is that a person has to be killed if he is a killer because it is requirement of justice but if the inheritors of person who was killed forgive the killer without any pressure or greed it will be ihsan.
Allah sawt has commanded us to do both justice and Ihsan in Holy Quran
Allah swt says:
Verily, Allâh enjoins Al-Adl/justice and Al-Ihsân/favour(An-Nahl 16:90)
When a person does favour with other Muslim brother or sister and sacrifice his right or position he is able to get love of Allah swt .Allah swt says in Holy Quran
Verily, Allâh loves Al¬Muhsinûn (good¬doers – who do favour with others). (Al-Ma'idah 5:13)
So we can earn love of Almighty by doing favour with others.
By Struggling in way of Allah swt:
Every one struggles in this world for himself for his family for his tribe for his nation.The best people are those who struggle in the way of Allah swt with full commitment and dedication .
Allah swt says in Holy Quran:
Verily, Allâh loves those who fight in His Cause in rows (ranks) as if they were a solid structure. (As-Saff 61:4)
So we can earn love of Allah swt by struggling in His way with all our resources , energies and abilities.
By Obyeing And Following Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam.
Allah swt raised Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam as His final prophet and declared his life style as role model for us.
Allah swt says in Holy Quran:
Indeed in the Messenger of Allâh (Muhammad SAW) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes in (the Meeting with) Allâh and the Last Day and remembers Allâh much. (Al-Ahzab 33:21)
Any one who obeys prophet salal laho aliehi wasalam actually obeys Allah swt
Allah swt says:
He who obeys the Messenger (Muhammad SAW), has indeed obeyed Allâh (An-Nisa 4:80)
Any one who wants to earn love of Allah swt can easily do so by following footsteps of prophet Muhammad salal laho aliehi wasalam.Allah swt has made it clear in Holy Quran .
Allah swt says:
Say (O Muhammad SAW to mankind): "If you (really) love Allâh then follow me Allâh will love you and forgive you of your sins. And Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Aali Imran 3:31)
So we can get love of Allah swt by doing all the good deeds mentioned by our creator.If we will be loved by Allah swt we will be able to achieve success of this life and hereafter.May Allah give us courage and energy to do all the good deeds mentioned in the Holy Book revealed by Allah swt.
