Special: do you know what backbttting is ? And learn about it and remain away from it.

[ALL PRAISES BE TO ALLAH]

Backbiting, a sin which we actually don’t realize a sin. One of the major moral vice; spreading rapidly among the people, used to call gossip, slander, backbite, whisper, talk behind someone’s back, criticize and so on In point of fact, we ourselves don’t know why we do it. (PARWEEZA)

In surah Hujrat, Allah says,

O you who believe! Avoid most of suspicion, for surely suspicion in some cases is a sin, and do not spy nor let some of you backbite others. Does one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? But you abhor it; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, surely Allah is Oft-returning (to mercy), Merciful.

And further Allah says,

No one make back bite. Any one among you would like to eat the meat of his dead brother

Various ahadeeth and sayings:

“…Backbiting is to say something about your brother that he would dislike…If what you say about him is true, you are backbiting him, but if it is not true then you have slandered him.” [Muslim]

“When man wakes up in the morning each day, all parts of the body warn the tongue saying, ‘Fear God as regards us, for we are at your mercy; if you are upright, we will be upright and if you are crooked, we become crooked.’” [Tirmidhi]

It was narrated in the Hadith relating the story of Mi’raj (Ascent): “The Prophet (peace be upon him) passed by people with copper fingernails – with which they scratch their own faces and chests. He asked: “Who are those, Gabriel?” It was answered: “Those are the people who eat the flesh of other people and vilify their honor.”

It was narrated that a man brought two fasting women to the Prophet (pbuh) – for they were dying of thirst. The Prophet (pbuh) turned away, silently refusing to give permission for them to break their fast. So, the man begged him again, mentioning that the women were on the verge of death. The Prophet then said, “Bring them to me and bring along a bowl.” When they turned to him, he turned to one and told her to vomit in the bowl. She complied, spitting up a mixture of vomit, blood, pus and pieces of flesh which half filled the bowl. He then turned to the other and had her do the same. After the bowl was filled, the Prophet (pbuh) reportedly said, “Verily these two have fasted from what Allah has made halaal for them; and broken their fast from what Allah has made haraam. They spent their fast eating the flesh of others.” [Ahmad]

“… Do not backbite Muslims, and do not search for their faults – for if anyone searches for their faults, Allah will search for his fault; and if Allah searches for the fault of anyone, He disgraces him in the open for everyone to see – even if he hid it in the innermost part of his house.” [Abu Dawud; Tirmidhi, others]
“Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should talk what is good or keep quiet, and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not hurt (or insult) his neighbour…” [Bukhari]

“Whoever guarantees me (the chastity of) what is between his legs (i.e. his private parts), and what is between his jaws (i.e., his tongue), I guarantee him Paradise.” [Bukhari]

Scholar Hasan al-Basri reportedly said:

“I swear by Allah: backbiting is swifter in consuming the religion of a Muslim than a gangrenous infection is in consuming the human body.” {PARWEEZA}

Celebrating Valentine’s Day

﴿ الاحتفال بيوم فالانتاين ﴾
] Englishإنجليزي [

Praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the Worlds, and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his family and companions.
Allaah has chosen for us Islam as our religion and He will not accept any other religion from anyone, as He says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers.”[Aal 'Imraan 3:85]
And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) told us that groups of his ummah would follow the enemies of Allaah in some of their rituals and customs, as it says in the hadeeth of Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri (may Allaah be pleased with him), who narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“You will certainly follow the ways of those who came before you, span by span, cubit by cubit, until even if they were to enter a lizard’s hole, you would follow them.” We said, “O Messenger of Allaah, (do you mean) the Jews and Christians?” He said, “Who else?!”(Narrated by al-Bukhaari in al-I’tisaam bi’l-Kitaab wa’l-Sunnah, Baab Qawl an-Nabi (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) La tattabi’unna Sanan man kaana qablakum, 8/151; and by Muslim in Kitaab al-‘Ilm, Baab Ittibaa’ Sanan al-Yahood wa’l-Nasaara, 4/2054)

Ladies Edition: No Joking, laughing and fun with Non Mahrams

In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

1/ Some sisters assume that since they are properly covered, its okay for them to sit around
and

talk, laugh, joke, etc. with the men, but that’s not right, even if he is ‘the Shaikh’.

As Allaah (swt) says:

"........then be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease (of hypocrisy, or evil desire for adultery, etc.) should be moved with desire, but speak in an honourable manner."
[Al-Quran:Surat Al-Ahzab:Verse 32]

So talk to them when there is a specific need, and in a manner that is not necessarily rude, yet it is polite but firm.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

2/ Staring at the Classmates/males/Muslims brothers or ‘checking them out’ is NOT Hijaab

Some of female Muslim sister are involved in staring at opposite at market, road, school,

colleges and other places which is impressible.

As Allah (swt) says:

"And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc.) and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like palms of hands or one eye or both eyes for necessity to see the way, or outer dress like veil, gloves, head-cover, apron, etc.), and to draw their veils all over Juyubihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms, etc.) and not to reveal their adornment.........."
Allaah orders us to “lower your gaze” in the above verse. Why? Because a single ‘look’ can say

more than a thousand words. So, even if you are properly covered, keep those eyes down,

conduct yourself with ‘Hayaa’, and avoid ‘fitnah’

--------------------------------------------------------------------

3/ Chatting on the internet/phone is also against proper Hijab, either
There is no such thing as “we’re just friends”. Talking to non-Mahrams is wrong even if it is

through the internet or telephone. There are too many stories of illegal relationships,

fornications, broken homes, extra-marital affairs and runaway brides to even mention. That

is why in Islam anything that leads to haraam is also haraam.

As Allaah (swt) says:

"........(Lawful to you in marriage) are chaste women from the believers and chaste women from those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) before your time, when you have given their due Mahr (bridal money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage), desiring chastity (i.e. taking them in legal wedlock) not committing illegal sexual intercourse, nor taking them as girl-friends.........."
[Al-Quran; Surat Ma'idah; Verse 5]
