ipoet: To Music

O music what do you want me to forget?
The past or the future?
Or the sound of the present?
What is real and what is surreal,
you blur the lines of reality for me.
I may never understand what you mean,
but I do know what I want…
I want the peace of kalamullah,
something you are devoid of.
You may have a propped up voice,
but you can never echo in the universe.
You may penetrate my mind,
but you would not steel my heart.
I want to drink the smell of citrus,
I don’t want the poisoned milk.

THE MOVIES & TV SERIALS SYNDROME

By Brother Mohammad Ali,

There are many harmful effects of watching movies & tv series. The most dangerous of them is that movies & tv series destroy our understanding of true aqeedah about life, and that a person starts living in wonderlands and gets more and more away from real life.

Movies & TV serials are like stimulators. Let me give one example. There can be some bad memory of yours, which is not that much bad and deep rooted in you. But then suddenly, you watch DEVDAS, or maybe you watch some pathetic ultra sad movie or tv serial of some low-life loser character, and all of a sudden all your bad memories are stimulated and you go into a sad condition as well! And this 1 day when u are in this condition, can effect lots of your matters. This is what these things do. They are like stimulators. And can stimulate very dangerous things inside u. To mention another:
SEXUAL DESIRES!

And here is the most DANGEROUS of all effects!! And that is for sure ---->

Anyone who watches Movies & Tv series on a very regular basis, loses his/her own personality and tries to act like what he/she sees. From talking style to thinking. Everything becomes that of the movie or tv serial characters. And this thing is so dangerous, that this even effects lots of decisions which we people take in LIFE! YES! IN "REAL LIFE". And believe me. That is a huuuge thing!

When our life decisions are based on inspiration from movies & tv series and lousy characters, then that is the ultimate limit of pathetic-ness and this means we are useless & nothing. Because anyone who loose their own personality and become the character of some movie or tv serial, and allow it to effect them to such an extent that it not only starts effecting their speech and body language BUT ALSO life decisions and become a criteria for them of 'what to do in life', then that means that person is a LOSER and a useless blind follower who has no self-respect what so ever and who bends to every wind flowing out there. Even if some TV actor tells them to take out their undergarment and put it on their face and become cool spider man. Trust me: THEY WILL!!

And believe me, that is one of the characteristics of dajjal that he will attract people like this and many will get attracted. (im not calling tv a dajjal, i believe dajjal to be a person but i consider these tools to be his best weapons). So make your choice everyone. Whether to let your life go on like this and become blind followers of movie & tv serial characters (dajjal) OR to have a free thinking mind and personality of your own. I mean COME ON! Have some self respect. You are no puppet. You have a thinking mind and a heart.

If you truly want to be a follower and follow someone in talking style and walking and thinking etc etc, then that 1 perfect person on this earth is Prophet Muhammad (sallalaho alayhi wassalam). Try to copy him without any shame or hesitation, and then see the changes it brings to your life. Trust me. Sisters you wont have to call QTV for your problems if you do that. Brothers you wont have to live a low life if you do that. Trust me. I am trying insha Allah. Lets vow to try to copy him insha Allah from this day onwards. O Allah give us istaqamah. Aaameen

Perfection of Prayer (Hadith No. 674)

Salam,
Bismillah.

Volume 1, Book 11, Number 674:
Narrated Anas:
The Prophet used to pray a short prayer (in congregation) but used to offer it in a perfect manner.

Perfection of prayer. What is it? Establishing it, praying regularly and on time, performing all sujud, ruku`qiyaam etc. properly, and giving each position 'time'. We get to know from different narrations the way that Prophet (SAW) used to pray. His each and every action and move have been recorded in Ahadith (awesome observation of Companions!).

Companions say that the Prophet (SAW) used to perform the Salah in a perfect manner. He used to give each position time. When in ruku`, he would stay in that position for a while, make the ruku` last long, and then change his position. Similarly, when getting back up from the ruku` position, he would give it time, let the body settle in standing position, and then go down for sajdah. Get it?

Now you check your Salah. Or let somebody else check it for you and point out your mistakes. Because if you don't offer your Salah 'perfectly', you're not following the Sunnah. And what good is all the effort then?

Annnnyway, check the speed of your Salah. Even if your prayer is short, do you perform it 'perfectly'? Do you give Salah its due right? Or do you just do some exercise five times a day everyday?

Wassalam.

O Muslims ! Revolutionize The Dunya

Complaining Against the Imaam (Ahadith 670-673)

Salam,
Bismillah.

Volume 1, Book 11, Number 670:
Narrated Abu Mas'ud:
A man came and said, "O Allah's Apostle! By Allah, I keep away from the morning prayer only because So and so prolongs the prayer when he leads us in it." The narrator said, "I never saw Allah's Apostle more furious in giving advice than he was at that time. He then said, "Some of you make people dislike good deeds (the prayer). So whoever among you leads the people in prayer should shorten it because among them are the weak, the old and the needy."

 Volume 1, Book 11, Number 671:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "If anyone of you leads the people in the prayer, he should shorten it for amongst them are the weak, the sick and the old; and if anyone among your prays alone then he may prolong (the prayer) as much as he wishes. "

Volume 1, Book 11, Number 672:
Narrated Abu Mas'ud:
A man came and said, "O Allah's Apostle! I keep away from the morning prayer because so-and-so (Imam) prolongs it too much." Allah's Apostle became furious and I had never seen him more furious than he was on that day. The Prophet said, "O people! Some of you make others dislike the prayer, so whoever becomes an Imam he should shorten the prayer, as behind him are the weak, the old and the needy.''

Volume 1, Book 11, Number 673:
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah Al-Ansari:
Once a man was driving two Nadihas (camels used for agricultural purposes) and night had fallen. He found Mu'adh praying so he made his camel kneel and joined Mu'adh in the prayer. The latter recited Surat 'AlBaqara" or Surat "An-Nisa", (so) the man left the prayer and went away. When he came to know that Mu'adh had criticized him, he went to the Prophet, and complained against Mu'adh. The Prophet said thrice, "O Mu'adh ! Are you putting the people to trial?" It would have been better if you had recited "Sabbih Isma Rabbika-l-a-la (87)", Wash-Shamsi wadu-haha (91)", or "Wal-laili Idhaa yaghsha (92)", for the old, the weak and the needy pray behind you." Jabir said that Mu'adh recited Sura Al-Baqara in the 'Isha' prayer.

Alright. So, one MAY complain about his Imaam. That he lengthens the prayer too much. Or he does such and such the wrong way. But to whom? Whom does he complain to? Not the people around, please. That's just useless.

Companions had a leader, a Head of State whom they could turn to for any problems they had. It was Prophet (SAW) himself. But in present-day hierarchy, who comes above the Imaam of masjid? The minister for religious affairs? How to reach him? (LOL)

Anyway, either I lack knowledge or truly our system is faulty. Whichever it is, one thing is clear: we do NOT go on complaining about a certain masjid's Imaam to general public. We discuss such problems with the right person, a person who can SOLVE those problems.

Here's another solution: if you have good communication skills, and enough knowledge and wisdom, you go to the Imaam yourself and request him to shorten the prayer (or correct whatever else he's doing wrong). Make sure to do it in a very non-offensive way (and good luck with that!). He just might listen to you and correct himself. And as a result, everyone who comes to that masjid and gets irritated by the long qiyaams (or whatever else) will pray for you. And you get so much reward. Wow. (Y)

Last Part- Who have understanding of Deen and Husny-khulq?

link to learn Part 1 and Part 2.
What is meant by Understanding of deen?
Answer : Knowledge which gives satisfaction to the heart, comes on tongue and helps one attain good deeds, brings in a human being the qualities of Fearing Allah and Taqwa.”
Further explanation :
True understanding necessarily generates action that reflects the understanding. For example, most people have not personally experienced the devastation caused by a nuclear weapon, but do you have any doubt that they will do all that is in their power not to have one dropped on them?
Thus, when understanding of the Deen exists, it will result in righteous action and bring one on to the path leading to Paradise. This will ensure everlasting happiness for that person, without a single blemish to mar it.
The blessing of understanding Islam, such that one’s belief and behaviour reflect it, is a sign of Allah’s special favour to that person. One has to make oneself worthy of the honour.
Which knowledge is needed for developing understanding in deen?
1-      Understanding of Quran and Hadith.
2-Understanding of knowledge of the lawful(Halal) and the unlawful(Haram).
2-      Understanding of religious injunctions.
Surah Al Baqarah, Ayah 122.”….Of every troop of them, a party only should go forth, that they (who are left behind) may get instructions in (Islamic) religion, and that they may warn their people when they return to them, so that they may beware (of evil).”
This was said for the people who lived around Madina, that they are busy in earning, so why donot some people get out from different areas and travel to madina for seeking knowledge and than come back to their areas to teach Islam, to rest of the people.
———————————————————————————————————
The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “When Allah wishes good for someone, He bestows upon him the understanding of Deen.”
[Sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
Commentary:
The above Hadith highlights the excellence of possessing understanding of this Deen (the religion of Islam) and the fact that it is a sign of Allah wanting good for someone. The above Hadith also shows the importance of seeking knowledge.
———————————————————————————————————
In Sahih Bukhari,It is related from Abu Hurayra that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “You will find people to be like mines. The best of them in the Jahiliyya are the best of them in Islam when they have understanding. “
[Mines contain different minerals, some precious and some base.]
It means Qualities or skills of People were used in a wrong way and after entering Islam, they used their potential in a right way by understanding the deen. For example, Umar Ibn Khattab who was brave man and Khalid bin Waleed from whom people feared in battle because he too was brave.  Before, he used to fight against Muslims and after entering Islam, his skills was used in a right way by helping Muslims in battle. Similarly, when we put water in gutters they don’t benefit us but putting water on soil do benefit us in many ways. Therefore, using our skills in a right way, together  with the condition of understanding of deen makes people best.
———————————————————————————————————
Sahih Al-Bukhari ,      Narrated byAbu Musa
The Prophet said, “The example of guidance and knowledge [Ilm] with which Allah has sent me is like abundant rain falling on the earth, some of which was fertile soil that absorbed rain water and brought forth vegetation and grass in abundance. (And) another portion of it was hard and held the rain water and Allah benefited the people with it and they utilized it for drinking, making their animals drink from it and for irrigation of the land for cultivation. (And) a portion of it was barren which could neither hold the water nor bring forth vegetation (then that land gave no benefits). The first is the example of the person who comprehends Allah’s religion and gets benefit (from the knowledge) which Allah has revealed through me (the Prophets and learns and then teaches others. The last example is that of a person who does not care for it and does not take Allah’s guidance revealed through me (He is like that barren land.)”
There is a ground on which rain  is absorbed, which results in growth of trees, plants and fruits which give benefit to the people.Another type of ground, which is hard so donot absorb rain, instead it held the rain on it by which people take benefit from it.Third type of ground which is barren, which could neither absorb nor hold the water, resulting in no vegetation or benefit to the people in anyway.
The first example was a person who seeks knowledge, understands it by absorbing it and at last,  acts on it, which gives benefit(by teaching) to the people.May ALLAH make us among these people Ameen.
———————————————————————————————————
The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) said: ”Envy is allowed in two cases, in case of a man whom Allah has given the Qur’aan and who recites it throughout night and day; and a man on whom Allah has bestowed wealth who gives it away throughout night and day.” [Saheeh al-Bukharee and Saheeh Muslim]
For understanding deen we must pray to ALLAH sincerely just like Prophet prayed for Ibn Abbas.
“”O Lord, make him acquire a deep understanding of the religion of Islam and instruct him in the meaning and interpretation of things.”
Ibn Abbas (R.A.) said: To discuss about learning in a portion of night is dearer to me than to keep up awake throughout the night in prayer.
Abu Darda (R.A.) said: He who thinks that to go at dawn in search of knowledge is not jihad is deficient in intellect.
———————————————————————————————————
What is the purpose of understanding of deen?
Answer : To prepare people who will play the role of “Munzir” which means the one who aware about consequences in a very polite way. Such kind of people will save themselves and people, from sins which can displease ALLAH.

Reciting al-Mufassalaat in `Ishaa' (Ahadith 668-669)

Salam,
Bismillah.

Volume 1, Book 11, Number 668:
Narrated Mu'adh bin Jabal:
I used to pray the 'Isha prayer with the Prophet and then go to lead my people in the prayer.

Volume 1, Book 11, Number 669:
Narrated 'Amr:
Jabir bin 'Abdullah said, "Mu'adh bin Jabal used to pray with the Prophet and then go to lead his people in prayer Once he led the 'Isha' prayer and recited Surat "Al-Baqarah." Somebody left the prayer and Mu'adh criticized him. The news reached the Prophet and he said to Mu'adh, 'You are putting the people to trial,' and repeated it thrice (or said something similar) and ordered him to recite two medium Suras of al-Mufassal*." ('Amr said that he had forgotten the names of those Suras).

 * Al-Mufassalaat or the Surahs of al-Mufassal are the surahs starting from Surah no. 50 till the end of the Qur'an, i.e. Surah no. 114.

Prophet (SAW) always kept the congregational prayer short, and ordered others to do so as well. Everyone does not have the time and circumstances to enjoy such long qiyaams everyday. But when you're praying alone, you may lengthen your prayer as much as you want.

Reciting relevantly shorter Surahs in `Ishaa' prayer is a Sunnah. The Surahs towards the end of the Qur'an (al-Mufassalaat) are easy to memorize as well. :)

Wassalam.
