Allah swt has said in Quran that life of Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam is a role model for us .Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam is the real guide in all spheres of life .Our family life can be full of peace ,satisfaction ,love and respect if we follow Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam in family affairs and domestic matters.

Allah swt has said in Quran that life of Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam is a role model for us .Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam is the real guide in all spheres of life .Our family life can be full of peace ,satisfaction ,love and respect if we follow Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam in family affairs and domestic matters.
Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam could not see the affection of his father as he had passed away before his birth .His mother could not survive for long and left him alone when he was just six .He was however able to get the love of his milk mother Halimah Saadia radi Allahu anha.Similarly his sister ,daughter of Haleema,Sheema also used to look after him when he was a small child .When prophet salal laho aliehi wasalam was awarded prophet hood and mother Halimah came to see him he respected her and send her back with a lot of gifts.
He has advised his Ummah to respect their parents and once when he was going up on his pulpit he said ameen ameen ameen on each stair and made it clear to his companions that angel Gabriel came upto him and told him that the person who finds one or both of his parents in old age and does not earn Jannah by serving them is indeed a looser.Similarly he told that angel Gabriel also made dua against
1 Those who donot send salat on Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam after listening his name
2 Those who donot seek forgiveness and mercy of Allah swt in month of Ramadan
Prophet salal laho aliehi wasalam also told that paradise is beneath the feet of mothers and father is one of the doors to heavens .He also told that Allah has declared disobedience of mothers as haram.He also conveyed the message of Allah swt to humanity that they should not raise their voices before their parents .The west which objects Islam on humanitarian grounds is unable to refute the teachings of Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam related to rights of parents.There is no concept of old houses in Islam and it is an obligatory duty of children to serve their parents.He also guided his ummah to do dua for old parents in this way
“O our provider bless them with you mercy as they took care of us when we were young”
It was the result of his teachings that a society emerged where every one was bound to respect his or her parents.He also made it clear that even if the parents were disbelievers they owe respect to their children.According to his instructions it is not allowed to disobey and insult the non Muslim parents in worldly matters .
In modern era parents are fed up with the behaviour of their children and donot find the way and method with which they can tame their arrogant children.If they want to get respect and services of their children the only method beneficial for them is to follow footsteps of Holy prophet and obey his commands .By following his instructions we can get the real peace in our homes .Our children will be obedient inshaAllah as they will be well aware of the fact that real success of this life and here after lies in obedience of Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam
