Most Superior Charity (Hadith No. 1159)

Bismillah.
Narrated Abu Huraira:
A man came to the Prophet and asked, "O Allah's Apostle! Which charity is the most superior in reward?" He replied, "The charity which you practice while you are healthy, niggardly (miserly/stingy) and afraid of poverty and wish to become wealthy. Do not delay it to the time of approaching death and then say, 'Give so much to such and such, and so much to such and such.' And it has already belonged to such and such (as it is too late)."
Do you know why it's best to give while you have health, but no wealth? Because that's where the real test is. Would you rather save for your future or give of what little you have? When what you have barely fulfills your needs, would you rather gather for luxury or give of what little you're left with?
It's true. It's hardest to give in charity when you're short of resources. But it feels the best ONLY when you give while having little for yourself. Try it. :)
I do believe that, actually. Because only charity puts barakah in your wealth.
Do not delay charity. How many times will I have to repeat? Do Sadaqah NOW! :P
